Accidentally in love...Odette and Ian Webster got married at Cussonia Crest in Pretoria, in April 2017.... Enjoy the gorgeous pics and take note of the brilliant advice Odette has for all our new brides Here is their wedding-day-love-story, in Odette's words :-) xx OUR STORY I met my husband in March 2007. He was 17 and I was 16. We met by accident, but from that moment my heart loved him! We lived 70-80km apart and had an on-off long distance relationship for a while. Circumstances at the time made it difficult to commit. In 2012 things started to get more serious between us. We moved in together, we got ourselves a puppy and started to build a home together. As the new year dawned, 1 January 2016, he went down on one knee in front of our friends and family, and asked me to marry him. From that moment, we could not wait to get married!!! It was an incredible journey planning our wedding. We did not have a theme in mind, we just wanted our wedding to be elegant and fun. We wanted very little flowers and a lot of candles. We chose the venue, the decor, the flowers, and everything else based on what we like. Our wedding day was more than perfect, and I chose the perfect husband. This is the short and sweet of me and Ian. Our actual 'love story' is a looooong, but beautiful story :) My GOWN Oh wow, my absolute dream dress!!! It was the total opposite of what I was looking for, but when I came across this dress by accident, it was a done deal for me. I simply could not stop thinking about this dress. It was the first and ONLY wedding gown I ever tried on. My wedding gown was Zoey by Kitty Chen. It was a strapless gown, with sweetheart neckline and low back. The bodice has a lot of detail, a lot of 'bling'. I love the train of the dress. My wedding dress was definitely a highlight for me on my wedding day! Favourite wedding day moment or memory The entire day!!! I wish I could have my wedding day over and over again. What a beautiful day. Family and friends coming together to celebrate this special day with you. Laughter and dancing and all your favorite people together, what more can you ask for? But, I do have a few very special moments. The moment I saw my father and the few minutes I spenT alone with him before walking down the aisle was very special for me and I will cherish that forever! My favorite moment was walking down the aisle and focusing on my husband to be. At that moment I saw ONLY him, no one else. Our first dance was a very special moment and the song we chose was PERFECT for us. *their first dance song was Bryam Adams - Here I am WORDS OF ADVICE for our Brides-to-Be Do not worry too much!!! I am someone who stresses about EVERYTHING. There was no exception when it came to planning my wedding. Although, for some reason, on my wedding day I was as calm as can be. I inhaled every moment of my wedding day. I enjoyed every second! Do not try to please other people!!! It's your special day. Do everything the way you and your husband to be want it. You don't want to regret anything afterwards. Things will go wrong just before, or on your wedding day. So what! Just enjoy the day and make peace with the fact that you can not control everything on your wedding day. I believe that your wedding is so much more than you could ever have imagined it to be. So enjoy every second and forget about the small mishaps you can not change. AND LASTLY... A wedding is so much more than beautiful dresses, perfect makeup, candles and flowers. It is an emotional rollercoaster. You experience the most amazing emotions that you have never experienced before. It is an unforgettable journey. Enjoy every single moment!!! From the day get engaged, enjoy the journey! Other Vendors:
